Meet one of MY Heroes: The Profiles in Power series begins

debora I’m so excited to introduce my Profiles in Power series!  Throughout the month of April, I’ll be inviting you to enjoy intriguing conversations with some of my favorite people – those who walk in the power of God.   The first power-packed friend I want you to meet is Debora Gill.  I met Debora several years ago in Bogota, Colombia, where we were both speaking at the national Macedonia Conference.  We have since become great friends and I consider her one of the most powerful women of God I’ve met anywhere in the world — and I’ve traveled to nearly 30 countries, so that’s saying something!  Of course, it’s  a drop in the bucket compared to Debora’s world travels.

Of course, my first thought when I met her was, “Dear Jesus, please give me a legitimate reason to hate her to justify my insane jealousy of how ridiculously BEAUTIFUL she is!”  But alas, I soon discovered she is 1000x more beautiful inside so I had no choice but to absolutely adore her!  You will love her, too.

Debora Leitner Gill  is a Kingdom Businesswoman, who with her husband Christopher, owns a group of leading companies in the world for microfilming newspapers, digitizing them and putting them on-line at www.newspaperarchive.com . They serve individual members, libraries, states and nations with the world’s largest newspaper archive on-line, boasting over 115 million pages representing more than 10 countries in 40 languages.  Their vision is to put the world’s history on-line. Debora assists her husband in International sales and general management of its companies.

Debora is an ordained minister of the Christian religion and the founder of a nonprofit organization www.globalwaymakers.org  that, through the "for-profit" website, raises thousands of dollars for orphans, abject poverty, children subject to the child sex trade, scholarships and micro-loans that give opportunity to those who want to make a difference.

She speaks and ministers at conferences Internationally and has received the 2006 California Senate award for her exemplary record of civic leadership. Debora and Christopher travel extensively for business, ministry and for pleasure having visited more than 60 Nations.  She and her husband Christopher are the parents of five children who are almost all university students.

Her motto: "MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE…ONE LIFE AT A TIME"

Hope Again this Easter Season–A Free Online Class

In honor of Easter — the season of hope — I’ve decided to offer my friends a special gift.  A free 30-day journey.  It’s an online class I created and offered last year with tremendous response from the participants.  The class is called Hope Again.  The focus is on the power of hope, with a strong emphasis on prayer.

As part of this class, I will begin a 23 day fast on behalf of all class members beginning April 1 and continuing through Easter morning.  I will also have an open prayer line and make myself available to personally pray for participants.  You will receive the call-in number and details upon enrollment

You may enroll at no charge by clicking here.   If you would like to purchase the book upon which the class is based, it is entitled Becoming a Vessel of God’s Power.  Simply choose the "Online Class & Book" option.  When you enter the shopping cart area, you will note that the cost of the online course has been set to zero.

I’m excited about this adventure in prayer, fasting and the study of God’s promises together.  Join us.  And share with your friends.   We’ll have an interactive classroom on Facebook.  It was very active last year when we offered the class live — and I hope this Easter offering will jumpstart the dialogue once more.

World Water Day

 Water_unsafejpg

Today more than 1000 children in the world will die from drinking unsafe water. Tomorrow, another 1000 will die and so it will be each and every day for the foreseeable future. In all, about 3.6 million die each year from water-related disease. March 22 marks World Water Day, as good a day as any to note that while for most of us access to clean water is as easy a task as walking to the kitchen, 1 in 8 people across the world lack access to safe drinking water.

.

My new life mission is taking clean and living water to the world. I’m working in partnership with IV7, a new company offering a revolutionary, environmentally-friendly clean water technology. Ask me how you can get involved: donna@donnapartow.com

Costa Rica

Those who follow my ministry know that, several years ago, God spoke to me about bringing literal food and water to the world.  Over the past 30 years, my focus has been almost exclusively on spiritual concerns; that is expanding to include meeting the practical needs of people in developing countries..

My next adventure is taking me to Costa Rica.  My objective is to learn all I can about the issues surrounding water purification and the needs of  the rural poor around the world.  I’ll be studying under Dr. Craig Woodring of Mission Builders/YWAM.

In addition to learning during the 5-day training program, I hope to be able to do some teaching for the Discipleship Training School currently underway.  If you would like to contribute toward this trip, you can donate here.

This is the YWAM base I’ll be training at in Costa Rica. Their target nations are in East Africa and the Middle East

In honor of my birthday, I’m sharing a gift with my friends.  The opportunity to enjoy the most beautiful Christmas song you’ve never heard, along with a tour of my international nativity collection.  Each one gathered with love as I’ve travelled the world in service to the King.  You can order the CD featuring the song at www.threefourone.com

Colombia

I’m privileged to partner with my non-profit board president, Hector Torres, from Bogota, Colombia.  Although torn apart by drug traffickers and Marxist rebels, it is a beautiful land filled with hope by the power of God.
